Enterprise Sales Director, DACH

Location: Germany, Frankfurt area preferred

Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time or part-time Enterprise Sales Director to join a growing start-up company focused on offering Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions to the mid-market (Mittelstand) manufacturing sector across the DACH region. Our solutions drive efficiency and profitability and transform the way manufacturers operate and interact with their customers. This position offers an opportunity to be central to the future success of the business where you are able to develop and execute on our ambitious sales plans.

You will

  • Take ownership of the full sales cycle, targeting the most relevant opportunities to deliver against targets and KPI’s
  • Negotiate and bring deals to close involving both internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with the internal team as well as external delivery and product partners to ensure a smooth and professional transition of sales to delivery. Remain the guardian of the overall client relationship
  • Attend industry events to network and create new leads and interest in our capabilities

You need

Professional experience (What you have done in the past):

  • A minimum of 10 years’ successful experience selling technology products and/or solutions, preferably, into the “Mittelstand” manufacturing sector in the DACH region
  • Developed sales strategies, prepared presentations and presented to target accounts at the mid-management level and C-suite levels
  • Navigated and influenced multiple stakeholders within complex organizational structures to drive sales to closure

Personal attributes (The kind of person you are):

  • Positive attitude, pro-active approach, results orientation and high energy level
  • Ability to work independently while understanding when to make decisions solo or seek further inputs from key stakeholders

Other important qualifications:

  • Native German speaker and written and verbal fluency in English. Other languages a plus
  • Home office set-up with necessary infrastructure
  • Prior working knowledge of salesforce.com (or a similar CRM system)
  • Bachelor’s degree or other directly relevant education
  • Willingness and capability to travel within Germany 40%
