Product Marketing Manager/Director – Big Data Analytics

Location: Zurich, Switzerland

Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing VC backed European big data analytics company that uses human and social data to produce customer insights.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new capabilities and market opportunities for our clients own data products and help conceptualise, define and deliver the product roadmap.

You will

  • be responsible for the product roadmap and product marketing strategy across all offerings
  • own and drive your product revenues and carry appropriate targets to achieve this
  • develop the product commercial/marketing strategies
  • lead product GTM campaigns, updates and on-going product education to external prospects and customers as well internal teams
  • need to understand our customer audience and their needs, market dynamics, competitors and product levers to grow the business
  • develop competitive insights to deliver the right solutions and messaging to market
  • define product pricing structures
  • build content to land a differentiated story
  • ensure roadmap, value proposition, positioning & messaging is effectively communicated
  • provide feedback into product planning to guide future product roadmaps
  • work with the engineering and data science teams to ensure delivery and be responsible for the product development lifecycle

You need

  • 5+ years’ experience, including 3+ years in a product management/marketing position creating B2B software and/or data products
  • a track record of taking early-stage product concepts and innovations, and turning them into commercially viable and scalable products
  • demonstrated ability to shape a product roadmap through close interaction with market and business teams
  • to have worked closely with sales teams
  • ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and partners
  • to ensure the product strategy remains focused on solving real business problems and creating significant customer value
  • a highly numerate mind, possessing a bachelor’s degree (ideally) in Computer Science, or similar
  • to be fluent English (German in addition would be a bonus)
  • to have an EU/EEA passport or visa with flexibility to travel regularly
  • ideal experience in addition to the above include:
    • expertise in enterprise software for smart cities, travel, transportation, advertising, marketing, or developer API products sectors
    • experience working alongside data science teams
    • working for a technology start-up
    • working with data visualization solutions such as Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI, Spotfire
