Business Development Director, EMEA – Big Data Analytics

Location: Zurich / Home based (e.g. Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Milan, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Copenhagen)

We have an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing VC backed European big data analytics company that uses human and social data to produce customer insights.

In this role, you will be responsible for new business development into thelarge enterprise & PublicSector verticalsselling them state-of-the-art data analytics.

Do you have experience selling new technologies into these verticals?

  • Transport Operators (train, plane, bus, metro)
  • Transport Hubs (Airports, Ports, Large Stations, Mega-Events)
  • Automotive, Ride Sharing and Mobility Services
  • Cities/Municipalities and Government in the areas of mobility, transport planning

If the answer is yes to at least one of the above 4 points, then this could be a good role for you!

You will

  • take accountability for driving new business directly, go-to-market plans and overall business development activity
  • develop a strategy to take opportunities from ‘cold’ prospects to signed contracts
  • take ownership of the full sales cycle, targeting the most relevant opportunities to deliver against targets and KPI’s
  • support team for smooth transition from sales to delivery

You need

  • 5+ years’ experience in partnership/channel sales role
  • hunter and business development experience gained in a tech company
  • previous wins with large enterprises or public sector
  • pan-European technology sales experience preferred in sectors such as automotive, mobility, smart city, transport, or travel
  •  experience selling analytics (data, location, or mobile) solutions
  • entrepreneurial drive and using a consultative sales processes
  • ability to work in a dynamic and fast changing environment
  • EU/EEA citizenship
  • to be prepared to travel
